The latest transmission fluid (Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP, part number 19417577, blue stripe on the bottle and not black) that actually fixes the problem came out in Jan 2019 as part of TSB 18-NA-355, so unless your A8 was flushed with this specific fluid, it can develop the shudder.They were not willing to admit that this is a widespread problem. The correct PN for the quart containers is 19353429.Had New TSB #18-NA-355 (A8 Shudder) Done. FYI, if paying out of pocket for this it is 3 hours of labor versus the 1.6 in the bulletin. It took every bit of those 3 hours. I watched. GM evidently doesn’t reimburse dealers for full labor time on warranty work; hence the 1.6 hrs in the bulletin vs 3 if paying out of pocket.Noticed the shudder at just under 1200 miles, Dec '18, purchased car new 2/18. Both versions of 18-NA-355 used the same exact Mobil 1 fluid (or the TSB would have had a different number), which my dealership began using Jan 2019. Repeat steps 2 and 3, clean the transmission oil pan and magnet....."
